The 61st Annual L. E. Norton

November 8-9, 2008

Bradley University has once again hosted their prestigious annual L. E. Norton tournament. This year, 46 teams were in attendance, including most of the top 20 AFA schools. It was an extremely competitive tournament that featured a novice division and semifinals for most events. A two-hour flat tire dilemma while en route to the tournament did not prevent Gustavus from performing excellently at the tournament. Gustavus placed 12th out of 46 teams overall with points only coming from outrounds. This shows the depth of this year’s team, particularly considering that five out of six of our students in outrounds were first year college competitors. It’s a benchmark tournament that will help us assess where we are now and where we need to be in the coming months. All in all, it was a highly successful tournament and the drive back was fortunately uneventful.
